The A3 symposium is the 1st joint conference held by China, Japan and Korea. It covers the state of art research activities about emerging materials. The main-title (A3 Symposium on Emerging Materials) should be consistent in the future. However, the sub-title (Nanocarbons and Nanowires for Energy) can be changed every year. Recent research activities on emerging materials resulted in significant improvement in fuel cells, solar cells, supercapacitors, bio-fuels, thermoelectric devices, hydrogen storage and energy harvesting systems providing hope for green energy source. Recommended fields of presentation at this year's symposium include, but are not limited to nanocarbons and nanowires for energy applications.
